My daughters have reached the age where they require a useless animal, so we fenced in two and a half acres for donkeys. Possibly goats. Possibly mini Highlanders. Definitely not for the income.
The boys handled the fence while I ran errands — semi tires before harvest, a tractor coming back from the welding shop, spare wheels to organize, and a dead limb hanging 30 feet up in a black walnut since that storm six weeks ago. Corn's into pollination and we're ahead on growing degree units, but the rain shut off and the high spots are going to start burning up. Aphids just moved into the beans, so there's about 1,480 acres to spray in the next few days.
Also, I bought a Volvo. You can make fun of me. The air conditioning works.
Onyx is healing up well — third and fourth opinions both say it's coming together straight. He's supposed to wear the brace more than he does.
